This is an ideal opportunity to come along and find out more about the school, the packages, the courses and to meet the team, including Tam, our Director and Founder – with no obligation. To get your exclusive invitation, email hello@boostacademy.uk - we hope to see you there! All you need is a computer and an hour to spare. But please be quick as places are limited…
Studying online: why do it?
Online learning (or eLearning) has become extremely popular in recent years, mostly because of the convenience when compared with face-to-face courses. Students can save time by fitting their studies around their busy lifestyles. So, how do you feel about learning online? Maybe you’ve never done it before and feel unsure if you will enjoy it. If so, read on for some reasons why it’s worth doing and why online learning is often more effective than ‘face to face’…
#1 It’s convenient
Do you feel that your English has slipped and you should be practicing more, but you just don’t have time to study? Our courses are designed for you and we offer classes after work and at lunchtime, with each class being just two hours long. So now there is no excuse not to practice your English with high quality tuition in a live class, from the comfort of your own home or office.
#2 It’s accessible
Online classes mean you can study from anywhere in the world: a beach café in Bali or a rooftop in Barcelona. You just need to have a good internet connection and a laptop. The virtual classroom goes everywhere with you, so there is no need to ever stop studying while away from home or overseas.
#3 It takes less of your time
Many online learners report that they save so much time by studying online. They can still do all the things they need to do: go to work, take care of the family, see their friends and still study English. Because they are not having to travel to and from a class, they save a lot of time. They can sit at home or work, enjoying a coffee in a quiet room, doing their class with no distractions.
#4 It’s the greener option
Learning online is more convenient for you (without the travelling to do), but also better for the environment. The Open University here in the UK found that online courses equate to 90% less energy and 85% fewer carbon emissions per student, than traditional ‘in person’ courses.
