Andalucia Christmas Cocktail with Gilmar Real Estate

After a very productive and successful year for many of our members, the British Chamber of Commerce, alongside Gilmar Real Estate, was able to celebrate the positive market with an annual Andalucía Christmas Cocktail, held at the Gilmar office in Puerto Banús on Thursday 16th December.
We welcomed various members such as Currencies Direct, FluentFinance Abroad, Pérez de Vargas Abogados, Gibraldrone, Graells March Abogados, and Spence Clarke & Co., as well as special guests including Remedios Bocanegra, Councillor for Foreign Residents at the Ayuntamiento de Marbella, and Dan Norton from England Rugby Sevens.
Derek A. Langley, Regional Vice President of the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain, welcomed all attendees and thanked Gilmar Real Estate for hosting the event. Gilmar Real Estate have been members of the British Chamber for over 5 years, and we were pleased to host our second event with them at their office.
Regional Vice President Derek A. Langley continued by thanking members for their support this year and emphasised the importance of networking in the region and the positive future for bilateral trade in the UK and in Spain, with recent Barometer findings showing that the UK is in the top 3 biggest investors in Spain, and Andalucía the second biggest region in receipt of UK investment.
Setareh Mohregi, International Department Director & Institutional Relations Costa del Sol at Gilmar Real Estate, who also sits on the Regional Committee at the British Chamber, continued by informing attendees of Gilmar; with almost 40 years trading and offices in prime areas such as Madrid, throughout the Costa del Sol, Seville, Cádiz, and the Canary Islands, Gilmar is the safe place to buy property. Governed by Spanish law with all properties legally supervised, they offer the best service to clients, from start to finish.

2022 will be a promising year for both the Chamber and its members nationwide and in Andalucía, and we very much look forward to supporting new business and networking opportunities, and continue the positive business environment within the Costa del Soland the extended area within Spain.
The Chamber’s first event after the New Year in Andalucía will be a Morning Business Forum with Hugo Investing on the topic of Financial Freedom through Financial Education. This event will take place on 25th January from 9.15am (forum will begin at 10am).
